It's a copper - bottomed promise of reliable story told by John Grisham. A prolific American author with many popular novels to his credit. This time his novel titled The King of Torts came out as a legal thriller.
In brief, having amassed a great fortune on the loopholes of corporate giants, here a set of medical lab experiments turned havoc in the lives of younger people and the same was used by the protagonist for making more money and at the same time some amount gets transferred to the victims.
All this dirty game initiated with the help of Pace, a rival corporate's entity. Clay Carter is the principal character and a defendant lawyer. A struggling youth in law profession has gone extreme end and got huge success by hand in gloves with Pace.
Though his journey yielded positive results, there were some competitors who belonged to cement and other businesses gave him unforeseen climax and his smartness hasn't worked out. He experienced physical trauma and left the country at the last.
The best thing in it is having his girl friend Rebecca for his solace. However great one is whoever confine to con life should pay in its own way. This is what the way the novel carved in.
An interesting read for the readers who would like to know the layers of judicial system of the US. Ruthless money making corporates and their ways are revealed in it. I don't know that whether it has turned into a movie but which has a stuff worth for it.
